I had to read your blog twice for your news to sink in.
I am so so sorry that you have lost your beautiful Brutus. We go into this journey in fear but with hope in our hearts that we will beat the odds. When it ends sooner than we expected it can be particularly difficult.
My thoughts are with you. Your love for Brutus shines through.

I’m sorry, I just realised that you lost Brutus a month or so ago. Your blog hit me so hard that it has taken me a little bit to realise that you posted in the forums when you lost him.
I can understand you closing the pool since Brutus isn’t there to enjoy it. I walked through Magnum’s favourite park a few weeks ago and it was just too hard. Too many memories of how happy she was there, how happy both of us were.
The pain is hard. The missing them even harder. It does get better but far too slowly.
Take care and write more if and when you feel the need to.
